Student chapters

We are very excited about our Student Chapter Program. Chapters bring together law students who have an interest in participating in good governance, rule of law and human rights issues through discussion and hands-on experience in projects and initiatives in these areas.
Student participation in CLA is integral to our organization. Students are idealistic, intelligent, energetic and provide an endless stream of ideas and inspiration. Students also represent the next generation of lawyers in this country. We want to foster their passion for international legal issues and encourage them to stay engaged throughout their careers.
Each year our Student Chapter Program focuses on a theme. The purpose is to allow students to gain a better understanding of challenging international issues, and to explore the issues with the wider community so that they can contribute to finding solutions. The topics are generally interdisciplinary: they cannot be understood properly viewed solely through the lens of the law.
